Nepal Junior Red Cross Circle, SOS HGS Bharatpur

was established in 2004 with an ultimate end of carrying out different humanitarian activities in and beyond school. All the students from Grade Six to Grade Ten of SOS HGS Bharatpur are the members of this Circle. A Working Committee is elected through a full fledged election where all the juniors enjoy the right to franchise. School Principal, Mr. Ganga B Gurung is the ex-officio Patron of this Circle and Mr. Jagadish Dhakal, an English Teacher is the Teacher Sponsor at present.

Being inspired by the motive shown by the Founder of Red Cross Society, Late Jean Henry Dunant, NJRC SOS HGS Bharatpur helped financially to eleven months old Bibasta Koirala, a permanent resident of Mangalpur-4, Chitwan who has been suffering from stomach tumour. School Principal Mr. Ganga B Gurung handed a sum of Rs. 3860 to the parents of the child. The amount was collected from the teachers and the students of SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Bharatpur.
